Indoor Air Quality: What To Request Before Approval
Evaluate the exact product and installation system. A brand name, a material label or the absence of a strong odor cannot replace project-specific documentation.

Build A Product-Specific File
Request the current technical data, applicable emissions documentation and information for any specified primer, cleaner or adhesive. Check whether a certificate covers the selected series and intended use. Treat recycled-content, ingredient and emissions statements as separate questions; one document does not answer all three.
Coordinate Occupied-Space Requirements
Give the facility team the proposed work area, installation products and ventilation plan before scheduling. Ask who accepts the documentation and authorizes return to service. Record the decision rather than applying a blanket “safe for every building” claim to all films.
Before Your Project Review
- Identify the exact manufacturer and series.
- List preparation products as well as the film.
- Confirm the property’s submittal requirements.
